Author Guidelines

The nature of this journal, which includes the publication of postgraduate work submitted to different institutions, means that we are willining to accommodate different style conventions providing that these meet appropriate academic standards and that the conventions are employed correctly and consistently. Thus, contributions that are based on work submitted for examination at a third-level institution may match the style conventions of that institution. However, the editors reserve the right to ask the contributor to change to an alternative style in circumstances where that is considered more appropriate. Other work (i.e. that not based on postgraduate submissions) should employ the latest edition of the Chicago Manual of Style for footnotes/citations and the manuscript overall should conform to the style guide used by the Journal of Strategic Studies.

Any submissions based on work completed in support of a postgraduate degree must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the student's supervisor/advisor attesting that the work is of publishable quality. We will only publish work that is considered good enough to achieve high 'A' grades (First Class Honours, Summa Cum Laude). The journal will not normally publish work completed at undergraduate level - unless it is shown to be of exceptional quality. In such cases the work should be accompanied by a reference from an appropriate authority (supervisor, head of department etc).

Quick Style Guide.
